The ELI offers two types of English study: general and academic. 在这两种类型中, 4 different programs of study are available depending on the needs of the students.

This program is designed for permanent residents and other non-F1 students who need English as a Second Language for everyday life, 比如他们的工作, 类, 家庭, 旅行, 等. 在课程结束时，学生将:

• have a firm grasp of communicating in English on a broad range of topics for everyday life.

ELI-only(学术准备)

• You need intensive English language acquisition for academic purposes.

有条件准入

This program is for students who are planning to attend a specific major at the 立博体育官网 but do not have the required English score on an accepted English proficiency exam.

These students have already been accepted to the 立博体育官网 but need to pass the ELI program to waive their English requirement. Please contact the 国际 入学s department for more information on how to apply (or click the link above).

国际衔接课程

This program is for students who would like to start their major program and 类 right away, but do not have the required score on an accepted English proficiency exam. These students have been accepted at the 立博体育官网 for certain majors. The students will have a mixture of English and academic 类 while they go through the program. 一旦他们完成了这个项目, the student will continue their academic 类 and matriculate fully to the University.

Part-time students can pick and choose their 类 but must stay under 15 hours a week.
